Sugared Candied Cranberries Soda

Enjoy a refreshing and festive Sugared Candied Cranberries Soda, combining sparkling soda with sweet, crunchy candied cranberries for a delightful holiday treat.

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar, plus extra for coating
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups sparkling soda (club soda or lemon-lime soda)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the fresh cranberries and pat them dry.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup sugar and water. Heat over medium until the sugar dissolves completely to make a simple syrup.
  3. Add the cranberries to the syrup, cook for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften, then remove them with a slotted spoon.
  4. Roll the warm cranberries in extra granulated sugar to coat them thoroughly. Place on parchment paper to dry and set.
  5. Fill glasses with ice cubes and sparkling soda.
  6. Add a handful of sugared candied cranberries to each glass as garnish and natural sweeteners.
  7. Optionally, garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, add a splash of fresh lime juice to the soda before serving.
