Mini Mushroom Swiss Sliders

These Mini Mushroom Swiss Sliders are savory, bite-sized sandwiches featuring juicy mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese, perfect for parties or a satisfying snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 mini slider buns
  • 1 lb cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook until mushrooms release their moisture and are browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally.
  6. Place the bottom buns on a baking tray. Evenly distribute the cooked mushroom mixture over each bun bottom.
  7. Top mushroom layer with slices of Swiss cheese, then cover with the top buns.
  8. Brush the tops with melted butter.
  9. Cover the sliders with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes until the cheese melts and buns are toasted.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a slice of crispy bacon or a spread of garlic aioli before assembling the sliders.
