Korean Ground Beef is a quick and flavorful skillet dish featuring savory, slightly sweet beef seasoned with garlic and soy sauce, perfect for a weeknight dinner or meal prep.

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef, cooking until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  4. Stir in brown sugar, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes; cook for another 2-3 minutes until sauce slightly thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and mix in sliced green onions.
  6. Serve hot over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, top with a fried egg or serve with steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
