Honey Ricotta Pizza

A delightful and naturally sweet pizza topped with creamy ricotta and drizzled with golden honey, perfect for a light dessert or snack.

  • 1 pre-made pizza dough (about 10 inches)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: sliced almonds or crushed pistachios for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and place it on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  3. Brush the dough lightly with olive oil.
  4. Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Season the ricotta lightly with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  6. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle honey over the warm ricotta.
  8. Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves and, if desired, sliced almonds or crushed pistachios on top.
  9. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

For a savory twist, add a sprinkle of lemon zest or substitute honey with a drizzle of aged balsamic vinegar for added depth.
