This cinnamon swirl banana bread is a moist, flavorful twist on a classic favorite, featuring a sweet cinnamon ribbon that adds warmth and depth to every bite.

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas with melted butter.
  3. Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract and stir to combine.
  4. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in.
  5. Add the flour last, stirring until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon to create the cinnamon swirl.
  7. Pour half the banana bread batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture evenly over the batter.
  8. Pour the remaining batter on top, then sprinkle the remaining cinnamon mixture over the batter.
  9. Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the cinnamon into the batter.
  10. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
