Chicken Alfredo Gnocchi

Chicken Alfredo Gnocchi is a creamy and comforting Italian-inspired dish featuring tender gnocchi tossed in a rich Alfredo sauce with succulent pieces of chicken, perfect for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb potato gnocchi
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook gnocchi according to package instructions until they float to the surface. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken breasts, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and nutmeg, stirring until sauce thickens, about 3–5 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked gnocchi and chicken back to the skillet. Toss to coat everything evenly in the Alfredo sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately warm.

Notes

For extra richness, sprinkle additional Parmesan on top before serving or add sautéed mushrooms for a delicious twist.
