Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread Bowls

Creamy chicken Alfredo served in crispy garlic bread bowls makes for a comforting and indulgent meal perfect for dinner or a special occasion.

  • 2 large round sourdough bread loaves
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the sourdough loaves and hollow out the centers, leaving about 1-inch thick walls.
  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and olive oil. Brush the inside and cut edges of the bread bowls with the mixture.
  4. Place the bread bowls and tops on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes until slightly crisp.
  5. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken and Alfredo sauce; season with salt and pepper.
  6. Fill each bread bowl evenly with the chicken Alfredo mixture.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the filled bowls.
  8. Bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle some red pepper flakes or chopped sun-dried tomatoes into the Alfredo mixture before baking.
