Cheesy Tuna Melts

A Golden Cheesy Tuna Melt

These Cheesy Tuna Melts are the perfect quick and easy lunch or snack. They’re packed with flavor and melted cheese, making them a comforting and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (5 ounces each) tuna, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon chopped red onion
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices bread
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine tuna, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, lemon juice, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Top each slice of bread with half of the tuna mixture and two slices of cheddar cheese.
  5. Place the remaining two slices of bread on top of the cheese, butter-side up.
  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Slice in half and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a dash of hot sauce to the tuna mixture.
