These Cheddar Jalapeño Burgers combine juicy beef patties with spicy jalapeños and melted cheddar cheese for a flavorful and satisfying meal perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, mayonnaise, mustard

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped jalapeños, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on the bottom bun and adding your favorite optional toppings.
  6. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
