baked sweet chili wings

These baked sweet chili wings are perfectly crispy on the outside and coated in a sticky, flavorful sweet chili glaze, making them an irresistible appetizer or snack.

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss thoroughly to coat evenly with the marinade.
  4. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning wings halfway through to ensure even cooking and caramelization.
  6. For extra crispiness, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
  7. Remove from oven, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

For extra heat, add a pinch of red chili flakes to the marinade or serve with a spicy dipping sauce.
